BAGTAG welcomes Discover Airlines to its platform

BAGTAG proudly announces the integration of Discover Airlines, formerly known as Eurowings Discover, onto its platform. The airline’s passengers can now digitally check in baggage through the BAGTAG application for a seamless travel experience.

Discover Airlines is the young leisure airline of the Lufthansa Group and serves destinations around the Mediterranean, North America, Africa and the Caribbean from its bases at Frankfurt Airport and Munich Airport.

With electronic bag tags, passengers can check in baggage from the comfort of their hotel, home, or even on the road, arriving at the airport ready to fly. Passengers go through the check-in process via an application and transfer the baggage label onto their electronic bag tag device.

From here on, the baggage can be dropped off immediately after arrival at the airport, making it the perfect solution given the airline’s focus on mid- and long-haul leisure destinations. The electronic baggage check in functionality will be a great asset to streamline the passenger journey.

“Partnering with BAGTAG aligns perfectly with our mission to provide seamless, stress-free travel experiences.” commented Maximilian Meintgens, Director Product & Marketing of Discover Airlines. “This collaboration will enable us to deliver an even higher level of convenience and efficiency to our passengers”

Thanks to the existing integration between BAGTAG and the Lufthansa Group airlines, Discover Airlines could enable electronic bag tag check-in within a matter of days.

“The integration of Discover Airlines really demonstrates the flexibility of the BAGTAG platform and the ease of which partner airlines with an existing Amadeus DCS connection can integrate our solutions. Discover Airline’s extensive network and dedication to delivering exceptional leisure services make them an ideal fit for electronic bag tags.”– Jasper Quak, Managing Director BAGTAG

With the integration in place, any electronic bag tag device connected to the BAGTAG platform can be used on Discover Airlines flights worldwide.
